The FD1002S is a compact box-type OLT developed by LFOC, designed for small-scale EPON access applications. Built in a 1U 19-inch standard chassis, it features two fixed PON ports and offers high reliability, low cost, easy deployment, and flexibility. The FD1002S integrates a powerful switching module that supports full-service gigabit line-speed forwarding and a rich set of Layer 2 protocols. It includes a network management module supporting in-band and out-of-band management, CLI, SNMP, and EMS centralized management. Each device supports up to 128 ONU connections with a maximum coverage of 20 km, making it suitable for deployment in central offices or community equipment rooms. Typical applications include FTTB, FTTC, and FTTH, providing operators with a cost-effective EPON access solution.

●Compact, Cost-Effective, and Flexible Deployment

The FD1002S is equipped with two fixed PON ports, each supporting up to a 1:64 split ratio, allowing a maximum of 128 ONU connections. The transmission distance can reach up to 20 km (≤1:32 split). Designed with a 1U 19-inch box-type chassis, FD1002S offers a compact size, strong environmental adaptability, and is ideal for small to medium-sized networks with low ONU density.

●Layer 2 Aggregation Switching

FD1002S integrates a powerful Layer 2 switching module that supports full line-speed forwarding for all services and a wide range of Layer 2 protocols. With four Gigabit uplink ports (two optical and two electrical), it supports port-based VLAN, flexible QinQ, and port aggregation, providing operators with multiple networking options.

●QoS Assurance

The OLT unit of FD1002S adopts hardware-based DBA (Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation), delivering reliable and efficient performance. The system supports multiple LLID configurations per ONU and multiple scheduling queues for both upstream and downstream traffic, ensuring that high-priority services always receive guaranteed QoS.

●Rich OAM Functions

FD1002S supports automatic ONU discovery and registration, automatic loopback testing for individual links, port-based and protocol-based VLAN, IGMP Proxy and Snooping, port-based ACL packet filtering and classification, as well as traffic policing and shaping. These rich OAM features make the system highly manageable and carrier-grade.

●Comprehensive Network Management

Compatible with LFOC’s centralized EMS platform, FD1002S supports local CLI management, SNMP, in-band, and out-of-band network management. The EMS system is designed on a C/S architecture and offers full-featured management capabilities: automatic or manual topology management, alarm filtering and logging, operation log queries/export, database backup and recovery, real-time performance monitoring, and historical record analysis. It also supports online software upgrades for both OLT and ONU devices.

●Easy Installation and Maintenance

FD1002S is designed for plug-and-play simplicity. By default, the device starts operating immediately after power-on, with ONU auto-registration requiring no additional configuration. Once deployed, administrators can remotely monitor and manage the system through the network management platform, ensuring efficient operation and maintenance.
