Standard Loose Tube Heavy-Armored Optical Cable (GYTS53)

Standard Loose Tube Heavy-Armored Optical Cable (GYTS53)

Description

The GYTS53 optical cable consists of single-mode or multi-mode fibers housed in loose tubes made of high-modulus plastic, filled with water-blocking gel. The central strength member is a metallic wire; for specific fiber counts, a polyethylene (PE) layer is extruded over the strength member. Between 5 and 12 loose tubes (and fillers) are stranded around the central strength member to form a compact and circular cable core, with the interstices filled with water-blocking compound. A double-sided polyethylene-coated steel tape (PSP) is longitudinally applied, followed by a PE inner sheath. Another layer of PSP armor is then longitudinally applied, and finally, a PE outer sheath is extruded to complete the cable. Fiber color coding can be either standard or full-spectrum.

Operating Temperature

−40℃ to +60℃

Bending Radius

Static: 12.5 × cable outer diameter; Dynamic: 25 × cable outer diameter
