Description
The GYFTY optical cable consists of single-mode or multi-mode fibers housed in loose tubes made of high-modulus plastic, filled with water-blocking gel. The central strength member is a non-metallic FRP rod; for specific fiber counts, a polyethylene (PE) layer may be extruded over the FRP strength member. Between 5 and 12 loose tubes (and fillers) are stranded around the central strength member to form a compact and circular cable core, with the interstices filled with water-blocking compound. Finally, a polyethylene (PE) outer sheath is extruded to form the cable.
Operating Temperature
−40℃ to +60℃
Bending Radius
Static: 10 × cable outer diameter; Dynamic: 20 × cable outer diameter
Applications
Suitable for duct and aerial installations.
