Standard Mining Non-Metallic Stranded Loose Tube Flame-Retardant Optical Cable (MGFTY)

Standard Mining Non-Metallic Stranded Loose Tube Flame-Retardant Optical Cable (MGFTY)

Description

The MGFTY mining optical cable is designed with single-mode or multi-mode fibers housed in loose tubes made of high-modulus plastic, filled with water-blocking gel. The central strength member is a non-metallic FRP rod; for specific fiber counts, an additional polyethylene (PE) layer may be extruded over the FRP. Between 5 and 12 loose tubes (and fillers) are stranded around the central strength member to form a compact and circular cable core, with the interstices filled with water-blocking compound. Finally, a flame-retardant outer sheath is extruded to complete the cable. Fiber color coding can be either standard or full-spectrum.

Operating Temperature

−40℃ to +60℃

Bending Radius

Static: 10 × cable outer diameter; Dynamic: 20 × cable outer diameter

Applications

Suitable for inclined shafts and horizontal roadways in mining environments, especially where a non-metallic design is required for better insulation and anti-electromagnetic interference performance.
