Description
The MGTS53 mining optical cable is designed with single-mode or multi-mode fibers placed in loose tubes made of high-modulus plastic, filled with water-blocking compound. The cable core is centered around a phosphatized steel wire (or a polyethylene-coated phosphatized steel wire). Loose tubes (or filler ropes and signal wires) are stranded around the central strength member to form a compact and circular core. The gaps within the core are filled with a water-blocking compound. A laminated steel tape is longitudinally wrapped, followed by an extruded inner sheath, and then an additional laminated steel tape with a final blue flame-retardant outer sheath. The fiber color coding can be in accordance with standard identification schemes or full-color coding.
Operating Temperature
−40℃ to +60℃
Bending Radius
Static: 12.5 × cable outer diameter; Dynamic: 25 × cable outer diameter
Applications
Suitable for demanding underground mining environments such as inclined shafts, horizontal roadways, and vertical shafts (mine shafts). The reinforced double-armored design provides enhanced mechanical protection, flame-retardant performance, and long-term reliability under harsh conditions.
