Standard Mining Flame-Retardant Optical Cable for Shafts MGTS33 (Steel Wire Reinforced Type)

Standard Mining Flame-Retardant Optical Cable for Shafts MGTS33 (Steel Wire Reinforced Type)

Description

The MGTS33 mining optical cable is designed with single-mode or multi-mode fibers housed in loose tubes made of high-modulus plastic, filled with water-blocking compound. The cable core is centered on a phosphatized steel wire (or polyethylene-coated phosphatized steel wire). Around this central strength member, 5–12 loose tubes (or filler ropes and signal wires) are stranded to form a compact and circular core. The gaps within the core are filled with water-blocking compound, then wrapped with steel tape and covered with an inner sheath. A layer of stranded steel wires provides additional reinforcement, followed by a blue flame-retardant outer sheath. The fiber color coding can follow standard identification schemes or full-color coding.

Operating Temperature

−40℃ to +60℃

Bending Radius

Static: 12.5 × cable outer diameter; Dynamic: 25 × cable outer diameter

Applications

Specially designed for vertical shaft (mine shaft) installations in coal mines, offering high tensile strength, excellent flame-retardant performance, and enhanced mechanical protection to ensure safe and reliable communication in harsh underground environments.
